Purpose and Scope:
· The purpose and scope of the Head of Shift Operations is to plan, direct, co-ordinate and manage the shift operations of the LNG Plant Industrial Complex to ensure the safe and efficient operation to meet production targets and product specifications.
Duties Performed:
1. The Head of Shift Operations is senior person responsible for the entire LNG Plant Complex including 3 LNG Production Trains, Utilities including all Das Island Power Generation and the Product Storage and Export facilities.
2. The Head of Shift Operations is the authorised management site representative, outside normal working hours, dealing with his shift team (up to 70 persons/shift) including Plant Security and the International Shipping and Port Facilities Security (ISPS Codes).
3. The Head of Shift Operations is the key focal point to respond to Plant and Operational Emergencies and manage and direct his shift team in these critical circumstances.
4. Directs and controls preparation of all Plant Equipment for Maintenance and controls and authorises all Permits under the ADGAS Permit to Work system.
5. Responsible for his shift team training and administration which includes mentoring, counseling, competency training and assessment & discipline.
6. Specific administration duties with emphasis on UAE Nationals development and Competency Assurance.
Minimum Requirements:
· B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering or equivalent Engineering qualification.
· 9 years in the oil & gas industry of which 5 years at Senior Supervisory level with good IT skills.
· Must have very good knowledge of both written and spoken English.
Remuneration Package:
· Salary is negotiable.
· Leave cycle : 14 days duty and 14 days leave.
· Messing and accommodation are provided for free of charge while on the Island.
